‘what keeps me up’
The past weeks have been rough. Exams were scheduled for 2 weeks instead of the usual 5 days straight because of the holidays. I thought it meant more time for studying, but no! I wasted more time, and became more lax. I really have to learn how to manage my time well. Anyway, there’s the next exams for that.
Another thing that kept me busy was family members who were sick. My brother Russell was just recently discharged from the hospital because of Dengue. Now, Reece is also sick with cough and colds and fever. We’re hoping it’s not Dengue. It’s hard to make him take his oral meds, what more if it was parenteral. I actually have mild colds too, but I know this will be gone soon, once I’m get rest and good sleep.
Tomorrow’s the last day of exams. Finally! I can’t believe that there’s an end to this. I’m really looking forward to getting a decent sleep, then gimmicks with friends.
I am not at all complaining. I was ready for this. I know it’s just gonna get tougher. My pre-med school schedule was pretty much the same, except of course, I can sleep until lunch time and I don’t have exams to worry about. I’m actually challenged. I know i’d still prefer singing or maybe photography, ‘cause it’s a lot easier and fun to do. But I enjoy medicine too, exploring the human body, not sexual though hahaha, solving little medical mysteries, talking and doing physical exams to patients, basically getting the feel of what it’s like to be a doctor. I just have to refocus my energy and have the drive to get things done.
Cobra Smart Energy Drink (not promoting, haha) has been keeping me up since last week. It supplies me with my caffeine needs, since I don’t drink coffee and I don’t like softdrinks too. The ‘smart’ part, I’m not sure about that, ‘cause I’m still clueless during most of my exams. Haha! :)
